Supported in part by a grant from the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Pathway Women’s Business Center is a new business resource, created by women to specifically to meet the needs of women entrepreneurs at all stages of business, from emerging to established.

The Pathway WBC provides in-depth business consulting, classroom training, peer-to-peer learning, and online events on topics such as strategies for business expansion, cash flow management, and access to capital.

Pathway Women’s Business Center’s Target Market is the 16-county region centered around the Nashville MSA. Pathway Women’s Business Center does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability or status as a protected veteran. The WBC will provide services to all who seek them, but will specifically focus on entrepreneurs in service, retail, restaurant, manufacturing, distribution, and transportation.

According to the U.S. Small Business Administration, women-owned businesses are majority owners of about one third of the nation’s small businesses and are equal owners of about half of all small businesses. The SBA supports women entrepreneurs nationwide through its various programs and services, some of which are designed specifically for women. Women’s Business Centers, like Pathway’s, tailor their services to the needs of individual communities and offer a variety of innovative programs.
