Areas of Impact
Shima’ is our Mother, the Earth created in Beauty, in Hozho’. Shima’ – guides and infuses all of life.
In Tse’hootsooi – the valley between the mountains – SHIMA’ is a creative sanctuary. We hand-make our soaps on the 7200 foot-high Colorado Plateau of northern Arizona, between the four sacred mountains, in the heart of Navajoland. Like our ancestors, we gather local sacred plants – corn, sage, cedar, Navajo tea – and infuse their Shima’ vitality to nurture your skin. The whole of the land and sky – Beauty in Four Directions – the life-force at the heart of our work: This is Shima’.
