Joe Altepeter, Director of Vocational Education & Social Enterprise

Joe provides leadership and vision for the Downtown Women’s Center’s Los Angeles based workforce development social enterprise, MADE by DWC. His role includes development and oversight of vocational education and workforce development programming. This includes education and literacy, job-readiness, and supportive transitional employment within the social enterprise. He is inspired by the community he serves and the partners he works with each and every day to create the vision and development of a growing social enterprise where retail, design, and job-readiness meets commerce.

In addition, Joe is excited to chair the Social Enterprise Alliance Los Angeles chapter board and work to continue the effective efforts of the national alliance to engage and excite the local Los Angeles community to move toward a more inclusive economic future for social change.
