Responsible for:

  • Grant Writing & Corporate Sponsorship
  • Facility Planning
  • Community & Government Awareness and Support

2007 – 2013 (retired)    Executive Director, Kentucky Horse Council

  • Full budgetary and program management
  • Managed $225,000 annual operating budget and oversaw all programs
  • Successfully applied for $300,000 Ag Development Grant to fund the 2012 Kentucky Equine Survey, partnering with University of Kentucky
  • Active with legislature and Governor’s office for equine industry legislation

2001-2007                  Owner and founder, Bluegrass Internet Services, a website company, specializing in equine websites.  Business sold when Kentucky Horse Council job was accepted.

1993-2001                   Publisher, The Horse Source of the Bluegrass magazine

1978–1992                  Sales and Technical Support, IBM Corporation, Lansing, MI

  • $1 Million sales quota of mainframe computers and equipment
  • Territories included universities (Michigan State U.), manufacturing (General Motors), insurance companies and banks
