My background of serving in the social sector and the business sector planted the seed for my current endeavors in Social Entrepreneurship and Impact Investing.
I began my career in social work, as a houseparent for abused children and then as Acting Chief of Adult Probation. The next phase of my career I had the opportunity to serve in senior executive positions with Ryder Systems, American Express and Comdata/Ceridian.
I also co-founded Mailnet Services Inc. (now Conclusive Analytics), a venture backed database marketing firm that specializes in customer analytics, data management and direct marketing solutions.
I am a founding Board member of the Nashville Social Enterprise Alliance. I recently stepped down after 4 years as Board Chair and remain an active board member. I am an angel investor and active mentor at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center. I served on the Health and Workforce Development Implementation Teams of the Mayor’s Poverty Reduction Initiative. I volunteered with CASA, as a court appointed special advocate for children that have been taken into state custody.
