Anthony Wright is the Chief Operating Officer for Pioneer Human Services, one of the largest non-profits in Washington State. Pioneer exceeds revenues of approximately $80 million per year. Tony oversees operations for the entire company and has a special focus on business operations and growth. Several of Tony’s major contributions with Pioneer include increasing the operating profit of the businesses in his first year of employment by 50%, receiving the Boeing Performance Excellence Award (2013), and being named Seattle Business Magazine’s Non-Profit Manufacturer of the Year (2014).
Prior to Pioneer, Tony served as Assistant Commissioner at the Washington State Employment Security Department, overseeing more than 1,000 staff in 50 offices around the state. As a result of Tony’s efforts at Employment Security, he was recognized by then Governor Christine Gregoire and awarded the Distinguished Leadership in Management Award at the Governor’s Mansion in Olympia.
Tony received a Bachelor of Science degree with a focus on Industrial Technology from Alcorn State University, Lorman, Mississippi, and is currently completing his MBA in Entrepreneurship. He is a member of the Omega Psi Phi and Sigma Pi Phi fraternities.
